When shopping for a PlayStation 3 Bundle, there are several factors that you should consider. This is a major investment, so it’s worth it to think it through and make sure that you get all of the features that are important to you. Sometimes there is a bundle being offered that has an awesome game that you are just itching to get your hands on, like MotorStorm PS3 for example, but at the same time it doesn’t have all of the features that you really want in a console. Don’t get sidetracked by the game, because after all, you can probably just pick up that game separately after you have your console, for only a few dollars more. The console is what is really going to make or break your gaming experience, so this is the one area that you really can’t afford to compromise on.
There are several PlayStation 3 bundles on the market that are really popular at the moment. The first is the PS3 120 GB 2009 Black Friday Bundle with KillZone2 and Infamous. This is a great deal, and even though Black Friday ’09 has come and gone, it is still one of the most popular PS3 bundle packages on the market. The 120 GB console is by far the most popular model out there, and these two games are timeless favorites. These two factors combined contribute to the fact that this is one bundle that most people simply don’t want to miss.
Most of the PlayStation 3 bundle packages that come with the hotter games also come with consoles that have a smaller hard drive, or with the older PS3 “Fat” console as opposed to the newer, and by far more popular “Slim” version. This can be rather frustrating to most people who want to get the best deal they can. For example, another bundle that sells well is the 80 GB Metal Gear Solid Pack. This will give you a great game, but might really leave you frustrated when you start to run out of memory. Another PlayStation 3 game bundle, the 160 GB Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Pack offers a higher memory level combined with a really great game, a Dualshock 3 wireless controller and a free voucher to download the PAIN game.
One nice surprise that has hit the market though is the 2010 250 GB Father’s Day bundle. This is the most powerful PlayStation 3 console bundle on the market, with the higher memory version of the “Slim” model being paired with LittleBigPlanet and an HDMI cable for a full $50 less than the console would cost on its own. While that might not be your game of choice, it certainly is the best deal on the market right now, especially if you never want to have to worry about running out of hard drive space.
